Who We Are

We are a network of Leaders Against Pain graduates, NFMCPA-certified support group leaders, and other NFMCPA-selected advocates who have demonstrated achievement in raising fibromyalgia and chronic pain awareness relevant to quality of life, access to care, scientific research and other areas of importance common to people living with fibromyalgia and chronic pain conditions.

What We Do

The LAPN was created by the NFMCPA and acts as its advocacy arm by coordinating and executing communication between the NFMCPA and the fibromyalgia and chronic pain conditions patient communities pertinent to local, state, national, and international government agencies and events. It also works in conjunction with the NFMCPA to create and disseminate position papers and policies through the media, social networking and other appropriate venues. The LAPN recognizes the Network members’ diverse strengths, skills, relationships, and resources which collectively help effect positive change for the fibromyalgia and chronic pain communities on local, state, and national levels.

Our Vision

The LAPN is an inclusive and diverse group of people dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals and families in the fibromyalgia and chronic pain conditions communities. Its members are energetic and committed, and believe that health problems can be solved by working together. Beneficial outcomes are achieved by cooperating across communities utilizing sound judgment, data, and resources to implement innovative and effective strategies. The Leaders Against Pain Network believes that every person in the fibromyalgia or chronic pain communities has the right to good health and a high quality of life.
